Baristas, Counter Help, and Supervisors in a Beautiful Park Setting

The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy is seeking qualified candidates for our newest location, the Beach Hut.  Beautifully situated at the bay’s edge next to our sister cafes, the Warming Hut and Café Crissy, we are a green and sustainable business specializing in local foods and organic coffee.  All the cafes do a brisk and growing business with our neighbors and visitors to Crissy Field in the Presidio.

The Café Barista and Counter Help Positions are responsible for maintaining daily operations of the cafes.

Requirements

~ Making exceptional coffee drinks
~ Some Food prep
~ Attractive food presentation
~ Exceptional customer service
~ Cleanliness
~ Accurate cash handling
~ Keeping an eye on food levels for order purposes

Responsibilities

Leadership
~Ability to help run a business with vision, energy and commitment
~Maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
~Food experience in a fast paced, customer service oriented environment
~Proven skill in following direction as well working well with new and existing employees in related job skills

Food Preparation and Safety
~ Passion for and experience in preparing and serving delicious food in an accurate and timely manner
~Strict adherence to provided HACCP procedures, assuring compliance with Health & State/Federal Regulations

Candidates must have:

~ One-two years of successful experience in food prep and a serving environment
~ Strong commitment to service excellence: Personnel, environment, food quality
~ An outstanding attendance record at previous employment

Candidates for the Supervisor Position must have all of the above plus experience overseeing a team of food and beverage related team members.

Barista and counter help positions begin at $11 per hour, usually part time to start. Supervisor positions begin at $13 per hour.

We offer free parking and rare late evening shifts.  The cafes are open daily from 9 am to 5 pm.  Benefits available if this position grows into a full-time position (depending on employment status).
