20 Years of Exploration and Discovery to Protect the World’s Most Exotic Places

Featuring Leeanne Alonso, Vice President, Rapid Assessment Program (RAP), Conservation International

The Rapid Assessment Program (RAP) at CI employs teams of expert scientists to rapidly collect biological information needed for conservation action in unexplored tropical areas.  Dr. Leeanne Alonso will present the highlights from the past twenty years and 65 RAP surveys: RAP scientists have discovered hundreds of new plant and animal species, trained scientists in over 30 countries, and provided key biological data on ecosystems from Papua New Guinea to Peru.
