The Essence of Life: Freshwater

Presented in collaboration with Conservation International

Featuring Cristina Mittermeier, Executive Director, International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP)

Imagining the river basins of the future, what do we want from our rivers, lakes and wetlands? What are our priorities for organizing and managing the tapestry of forests, farming, towns and cities that give river basins their character, and shape the goods and services we receive from them? How can we make sure there is freshwater security for both people and nature?  Cristina Mittermeier, Executive Director of the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) and co-author of the new book, Fresh Water: The essence of life, will discuss the power of photography to focus the public eye on these critical questions.
