Members Event: Fort Baker Tours & Institute Lecture
Fort
April 20, 2010
4:30-6 (tour), 6:30-7:30 (lecture)
Location: Fort Baker, Institute at the Golden Gate, Public Event, Marin County
Event Type: Birds/Wildlife, Class/Workshop, Environment/Science, History, Member Event, Tours/Walk/Recreation

Join us for a hike around the newly revitalized Fort Baker. Nestled by the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito, Fort Baker is home to the Institute at the Golden Gate (an environmental program of the Parks Conservancy in partnership with the National Park Service), as well as recently rehabilitated historic structures.

Choose from two tours: a hike featuring the beautiful buildings with architectural historian Kristin Baron, or a butterfly nature hike with Ranger Will Elder.

Then stick around and attend the Institute lecture that evening, "Living with Whales", featuring photographer Bryant Austin, who creates high-resolution, life-size photographs of endangered whale species to raise conservation awareness.

Meet outside the Main Lobby of Cavallo Point lodge.

Free.

Required registration deadline: Monday, April 12.
