Jose Joaquin de la Santisima Trinidad Moraga, the Presidio's first Comandante, was ordered by the Viceroy of New Spain to build the Presidio of San Francisco in 1776.
This program features stories of Moraga's role in the development of the Presidio, Pueblo, and Mission Dolores, as well as of the contributions the Native Ohlone were coaxed into making.
Join Ranger Eddie Arias for a tour of the oldest building in San Francisco and for a short stroll around the Presidio's Main Post.
Meet at the Officers' Club, 50 Moraga Ave., near corner of Arguello Blvd.
