Location: Marin County, Marin Headlands, Tennessee Valley
Event Type: Volunteer
This is a weekly volunteer program every Tuesday, 10 am-Noon and 1-4 pm.
Volunteer with the Tennessee Valley Native Plant Nursery and join our
efforts to restore native habitat in the Golden Gate National Parks. Our dedicated
volunteers also help improve habitat by removing invasive plants from
our restoration sites. As a volunteer, you will learn about local native
species and the importance of restoration ecology. Activities include
invasive plant removal, winter planting, transplanting
seedlings, pruning, and seed collection.
*For fieldwork, please
register one day in advance or contact us so we know to wait for you. We work at different locations and
may need to give you directions.
Groups For groups
of 5 or more volunteers, we can
arrange a special project
just for you. Visit our Group Volunteers page for more information and to
fill out the Group Project Request Form. Group projects must be
confirmed in
advance.
