Tunnel Tops

Get an insider’s view of the Presidio Tunnel Tops project, which will create 14 acres of parkland above the Presidio Parkway (Doyle Drive) tunnels. Join us for a tour of the site connecting the Main Post to Crissy Field. We will discuss many aspects of this project, including a youth campus/learning landscape, a plaza, and a new Presidio Visitors Center.

Join Presidio archaeologist Kari Jones for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Presidio Archaeology Lab. We’ll learn about the archaeological process at the Presidio, visit the outdoor site of El Presidio, and explore the state-of-the-art lab and collections facility where artifacts are cleaned, catalogued, studied, and curated. This tour is a special preview of International Archaeology Day, a family-friendly fair on October 15.
