The Presidio Trust, the National Park Service, and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy are offering free shuttle service between San Francisco's Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood and the Presidio as part of a Community Shuttle pilot program. The service will be offered every Saturday in October (October 5, 12, 19, and 26). At the Presidio, visitors can picnic on the sands of Crissy Field Beach, take a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, learn about the history and nature of the Presidio, take a bike ride, go bowling, participate in family games, visit a museum, learn the basics of camping, or simply enjoy the beauty of your national park. Bilingual and guided programs, as well as maps and other tools for self-guided exploration, are available.
Shuttle Ambassadors will be present on each bus to provide background on the Presidio, activities available during the day, and provide participants with background materials for their trip. What to Bring: Comfortable shoes, sunscreen, layered clothing (it can go from hot to cold in matter of hours in the Presidio), and snacks or picnic. Food is also available for purchase a variety of locations.
How to Pick Up Shuttle: Shuttle buses run every 30 minutes from 10am–5pm with 3 stops in the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood and 3 stops in the Presidio.
