The Golden Gate National Parks need caretakers of all ages! We have a number of volunteer workdays suitable for teens, young people, and families. Click on the links below and contact program leaders for more information, or learn about our youth programs and job opportunities for young people.

Guidelines for Youth & Family Volunteers >>

Youth and Family Volunteer Requirements:

  • Groups of five or more require special arrangements. Visit our groups page for more information or fill out the Group Project Request Form.
  • Adult chaperones are required for volunteers under 15 years.
  • Waivers are required for all volunteers. Youth under the age of 18 must have parent/guardian approval section signed.

    The Golden Gate National Parks Volunteer Program is a cooperative parkwide effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust.
