Muir Beach Cleanup and Stewardship

Help keep Muir Beach clean and safe for all of us to enjoy! Muir Beach is a small beach located along the West Marin coast. It is a popular destination for residents and visitors alike to enjoy a range of recreational activities. Due to its popularity, there is also an ongoing need to clean and steward the area.  Please come out, enjoy the beach, and help to preserve and protect this treasured destination.

Register here. Drop-in individuals are welcome. Group programs are available. Schedule a private program for groups with 10 or more volunteers.

Age/Skills/What to Bring
Volunteers of all ages are welcome. With young volunteers, adult chaperones are encouraged. No experience necessary. Training will be provided. Fulfills community service requirements. Tools, snacks, and beverages will be provided. Bring the appropriate waiver forms (see below). Please wear clothes that can get dirty, long pants, close-toed shoes (no flip-flops or sandals), layers for changing weather, and rain gear if necessary. Also, bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen.

Waiver Forms
Please bring the completed forms to the project.
Youth/Adult/Groups: Complete the volunteer waiver and bring it with you to the event. Any volunteer under the age of 18 must have the parent/guardian approval section signed.
Groups: Complete the above waiver and fill out the group list.

Meeting Location

Muir Beach parking lot, south end by the boardwalk.

The Golden Gate National Parks Volunteer Program is a cooperative parkwide effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust.
