FOR GROUPS
Help preserve the Golden Gate National Parks, while working together in a meaningful and unique fashion. Our volunteer programs are a great team-building experience for corporate groups, community organizations, youth groups, and schools. No commitment or training necessary. For groups of 10 or more volunteers, we can arrange a special project just for you. For large groups we can arrange multiple projects in a centralized location. The Golden Gate National Parks Volunteer Program is a cooperative parkwide effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust. BeachesKeep our coastline, clean, safe, and beautiful. Activities include collecting debris and refuse and participating in sand removal and groundskeeping. Muir Beach
HabitatsHelp restore and monitor critical natural areas and create wildlife corridors for threatened and endangered species. Activities include invasive plant removal, planting (winter season only), litter removal, seed collection, fence construction, trail maintenance, and plant monitoring. Landscapes & Historic SitesPreserve and enhance beautiful landscapes and maintain historic buildings and grounds. Activities include mulching, re-seeding, weeding, pruning, planting (winter season only), and litter removal. Plant NurseriesGrow and care for native plants. Activities include transplanting seedlings, collecting seeds, planting, composting, pruning plants, maintenance of nursery facility, and stewardship of nursery grounds.
