Lands End Stewardship


Thursdays & Saturdays, 1 PM - 4 PM

Become a Lands End Steward and help restore unique coastal habitat and enhance our trail system at Lands End. Volunteer activities include; weeding, watering, seed collection, litter removal, sign and fence maintenance, and winter planting. Join us for an afternoon of outdoor fun and hands-on education about the intricate relationship between native plants and wildlife species at Lands End.

Register here. Drop-in individuals are welcome. Group programs are available. Schedule a private program for groups with 10 or more volunteers.

Age/Skills/What to Bring 
Volunteers ages 8 and up are welcome. With young volunteers, adult chaperones are encouraged. No experience necessary. Training will be provided. Fulfills community service requirements. Tools, snacks, and beverages will be provided. Bring the appropriate waiver forms (see below). Please wear clothes that can get dirty, long pants, close-toed shoes, layers for changing weather, and rain gear if necessary. Also, bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen.

Please bring the completed forms to the project.
Youth/Adult/Groups: Complete the volunteer waiver and bring it with you to the event. Any volunteer under the age of 18 must have the parent/guardian approval section signed.
Groups: Complete the above waiver and fill out the group list.

Directions to Merrie Way parking lot

Meet at the Coastal Trail trailhead at the Lands End parking lot at Merrie Way. The trailhead is on the north side of the parking lot; it is the semicircular area with seating walls and stairs. The Lands End parking lot is at the intersection of Point Lobos Avenue and Merrie Way, just up the hill from the Cliff House and down the hill from 48th Avenue.
