Help keep Crissy Field clean, green, and free of invasive weeds. Volunteers perform a variety of tasks to help keep the Crissy Field area maintained as a popular destination for both local and worldwide visitors to use and enjoy. Projects include winter beach clean-ups, vegetation pruning and sand removal from along the Promenade, and broad-leaf plant removal from green belt areas.

Age/Skills/What to Bring
Volunteers ages 10 and up are welcome. With young volunteers, adult chaperones are requested. No experience necessary. Training will be provided. Ability to do manual physical labor, lift and move objects, repeatedly kneel and bend at the waist, and learn to use a variety of hand tools. Fulfills community service requirements. Tools, snacks, and beverages will be provided. Bring the appropriate waiver forms (see below). Please wear clothes that can get dirty, long pants, close-toed shoes, layers for changing weather, and rain gear if necessary. Also, bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen.

Youth/Adult/Groups: Complete the volunteer waiver and bring it with you to the event. Any volunteer under the age of 18 must have the parent/guardian approval section signed.

Crissy Field, San Francisco. Meet at Building 988, located at the end of the West Bluff parking lot, behind the Warming Hut.

From San Francisco: From the Marina Gate entrance to the Presidio, follow Mason Street past the Crissy Field Center. At the west end of the Airfield, where the road "Y's", follow the sign for the West Bluff picnic area and bear right. Mason Street will dead end in the West Bluff picnic area parking lot. Building 988 is located at the west end of the parking lot, across the street from the Warming Hut. Look for the Crissy Field Volunteer sign.
From the North Bay: Immediately past the Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza, take the 25th Avenue exit. Follow the road to the top of the hill and at the 4-way stop intersection turn left onto Lincoln Blvd. Take Lincoln Blvd down the hill and follow it as the road curves around under Doyle Drive. At the first major intersection, turn left onto McDowell Avenue. Go down the hill, at the stop sign veer left. You are now on Crissy Field Avenue. At the next stop sign, go right and make an immediate left onto Mason Street. Follow Mason Street towards the West Bluff picnic area parking lot. The road will dead end in the West Bluff picnic area parking lot. Building 988 is located at the west end of the parking lot, across the street from the Warming Hut. Look for the Crissy Field Volunteer sign.
