PRESIDIO FORESTRY
Every 1st & 2nd Friday, 9 am–Noon
Help take care of young trees in the Presidio’s reforestation
areas. Volunteers assist with maintenance of these areas through
weeding, mulching, and other stewardship activities. Please join us for a
fun and rewarding experience, and meet others, like you, who love the
Presidio forest!

Groups
Groups of five or more may require special arrangements. Fill out the Group Project Request Form or contact us for more information. Group projects must be
confirmed in
advance.

Age/Skills/What to Bring
- Volunteers ages 8 and up are welcome. Read our Youth and Family Guidelines Policy (PDF) for youth under the age of 15.
- No experience necessary. Training and tools will be provided.
Fulfills community service requirements.
- Bring the appropriate waiver forms (see below).
- Please wear clothes
that can get dirty, long pants, closed-toe shoes, layers for changing
weather, and rain gear if necessary. Also, bring a personal water bottle
and sunscreen.

- Youth/Adult: Complete the volunteer waiver (PDF). Volunteers under the age of 18 must have the parent/guardian approval section signed.

Directions/Maps
Meet your project leader at Inspiration Point overlook in the Presidio. We’ll head out to the work site from Inspiration Point. Work
sites vary throughout the Presidio of San Francisco.
Inspiration Point is located just inside the Arguello Boulevard Gate, San Francisco 94129.
The
Golden Gate National Parks Volunteer Program is a cooperative parkwide
effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National
Park Service, and the Presidio Trust.
