9:30am – Noon: Stewardship at Muir Beach
Winter is coming and so are the salmon! Help Redwood Creek get ready for the coho run by pitching in on habitat enhancements.  There is a new creek channel to celebrate, many plants to plant, and invasive weeds to remove.

1pm-3pm: Welcome Back Salmon Celebration at Muir Beach
Join us around a campfire with members of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria for a traditional salmon blessing, storytelling, native craft-making, and traditional fire-starting. Bring your favorite nature readings to wish salmon a strong and healthy return to their home in Redwood Creek. Families and well-behaved pets welcome. Meet on the beach where the creek meets the ocean. Contact Muir Woods National Monument at (415) 388-2596.

The Golden Gate National Parks Volunteer Program is a cooperative parkwide effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust.
