At the second stop sign turn left onto Upton Road, which turns to the right and curves behind the U.S. Park Police Headquarters. At the next stop sign, turn right onto Ruckman Avenue and then a quick right onto Appleton Street, which makes an immediate turn to the left and downhill. The Nursery is located about 100 feet down the road on the right side. Look for plants and shade houses.

From the Lombard Gate: Enter the Presidio at the intersection of Lombard and Lyon Streets. Continue on Lombard to the next stop sign, a three-way intersection. Turn right onto Presidio Blvd., which becomes Lincoln Blvd. as you pass through the next intersection. Follow Lincoln to the Main Post (parade ground). Just past the Post Office, take the right fork toward the Presidio Cemetery. Pass through the stop sign and continue on Lincoln as it curves around the Cemetery. After passing through the intersection with Park Blvd., take your next left onto Storey Road. Follow this road uphill past a few houses to a three-way fork; veer left onto Ruckman Road. Continue uphill past four more houses and turn at the first left onto Appleton Street. Look for plants and shade houses.

From Marin: As you cross the Golden Gate Bridge, stay in the far right lane. Immediately after the toll plaza, take the first right onto Merchant Road. Follow Merchant until it stops at Lincoln Blvd. Turn left onto Lincoln, and then the next right onto Storey Avenue. The Fort Scott fields will be on your right. Past the fields, turn right onto Ralston, then left at the stop sign onto Ruckman. Look for a narrow street on your right, which is Appleton. From the East Bay: Take the Bay Bridge into San Francisco. Take the first possible exit off the Bay Bridge, on the left side, which is the Embarcadero/Main Street. The exit ramp loops down onto Harrison St., which you will follow for three or four blocks towards the bay, then turn left onto the Embarcadero. Follow the Embarcadero and turn left onto Bay. Follow Bay and make a right on Laguna (just past Fort Mason) which becomes Marina Blvd. Follow Marina Boulevard west toward the Presidio; stay in the right lane and enter the Presidio (do not get on the approach to the Golden Gate Bridge). Follow the road along Crissy Field to the second stop sign. Turn left here onto McDowell, which passes under Doyle Drive (the Pet Cemetery on your right) and uphill. At the next stop sign, turn right onto Lincoln Blvd (look carefully, cross traffic does not stop). Take the next left onto Storey Road. Follow this road uphill past a few houses to a three-way fork; veer left onto Ruckman Road. Continue uphill past four more houses and turn at the first left onto Appleton Street. This short street is the entrance to the warehouse area and a sharp left down the hill will bring you to the nursery. The Nursery is located about 100 feet down the road on the right side.
