Learn how to grow and care for the native plants in our nursery, as well as help plant and maintain our restoration sites.

Individuals and Families: Register for this program. Drop-in individuals are welcome.

Groups: Schedule a private program for groups of 5 or more. Contact us if you would like to register a group. Group projects must be confirmed in advance.

Drive about 2.7 miles on Highway 1 (Shoreline Hwy) west, following the signs to Muir Woods. Turn right at the junction with Panoramic Highway (unsigned, top of the hill), towards Muir Woods/Mount Tamalpais. Drive about 0.8 miles on Panoramic to the 4-way intersection. Turn left towards Muir Woods (Muir Woods Road). Note: oncoming traffic has the right of way! Continue down the hill about 1.6 miles. You will see the main Muir Woods parking lot at the bottom of the hill, on your right. Go past this entrance, about 100 yards, and make your first right into the auxiliary parking lot. Park here, at the end farthest from the main entrance to Muir Woods. The Nursery is located past the auxiliary parking lot. Continuing away from the main entrance of Muir Woods, walk 300 feet down the roadside path. The nursery is on the first gravel road on the right side of Muir Woods Road.
