EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
The Crissy Field Center is the multimedia hub for the Golden Gate
National Parks. Participants of all ages and park staff
interact with their urban ecology in new ways and express what the
environment
means to them through digital photography, video production, and GIS
technology.
Finding Urban Nature: An Educators' Guide to Exploring San Francisco Natural History will help you locate and learn about parks and natural areas near your
schools, as well as provide enough background information so that you
will feel comfortable exploring these areas with your students. |
|
Mystery Trail: Geared towards 3rd graders and under, you can pick up a Mystery Book at
our Warming Hut Café to do a self guided scavenger hunt of the Crissy Field.
|
|
For Some, For None: With footage from a 7-day road trip from San Francisco to Yosemite and Grand Canyon National Parks, Inspiring Young Emerging Leaders (I-YEL)
interns from the Crissy Field Center created film exploring
visitation of national parks by urban youth
of color.
|
Experiment Findings from Project WISE Students: WISE enables youth to discover their roles within and impact on the natural
world and to realize their own potential to become socially and
scientifically conscious members of their local and global communities.
