Camping At The Presidio (All Ages)
What is your most memorable outdoor experience? Roasting your first marshmallow? Discovering that you could hike up that big mountain? Or was it seeing the milky way for the first time? If you have ever been camping, then you know the power of these memories and the feelings. Camping at the Presidio (CAP) provides opportunities for local youth who traditionally have not visited their national parks to have a meaningful overnight camping experience. CAP gives youth a gateway experience to explore the Golden Gate National Parks and public lands far beyond our urban center. We provide an economical, supportive and accessible system for you to bring your class camping in the great outdoors. Are you up for the challenge? Learn more.
Self-Guided Adventure Series (Grades 5-8)
Are you interested in bringing your class or group to Crissy Field but you need a more flexible schedule? Sign up your class for the Crissy Field Center Adventure Series and lead your students on a marsh adventure any weekday between 9am and 5pm. Challenge your students to think critically about urban environmental issues by working through activities in a free self-guided booklet. Guides are 1-2.5 hours in length and designed for middle school students but can be adapted for other age groups. Learn more.
