Join Us for a Program
We provide unique programs for families, teens, and community groups throughout the Golden Gate National Parks in partnership with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust. Relax at the Beach Hut or Café Crissy
Green Building: Project FROG
Visitors to Café Crissy can order organic and locally grown food and beverages and then stay to relax and take in sweeping views of the Bay and Crissy Field Marsh. Stop by the Beach Hut for new offerings like refreshing fruit smoothies and frozen yogurt to beat the heat or a specialty coffee drink to start your morning off right. The Beach Hut has plenty of indoor seating and a walk-up window for those on the go. Café Crissy is open through construction.
Explore Crissy Field Shoreline
When you come visit the Center, we hope you stay to explore Crissy Field. Crissy Field is the area along the northern shoreline of the Presidio stretching from the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge to the Marina. Old Mason Street and the Golden Gate Promenade run parallel to Crissy Field creating a scenic route for walkers, cyclists, and joggers. Along the way to the Golden Gate Bridge, you can spot pelicans, gulls, and other local birds at Crissy Field Marsh then stop in to explore the Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary visitor center located in the old Coast Guard station. Visitors to the Warming Hut at the west end of Crissy Field can browse the bookstore for park souvenirs and gifts or enjoy organic and locally sourced food and beverages from the café. Crissy Field is also a perfect setting for weddings, athletic events, and special gatherings. You don't even need to plan ahead-- picnic and barbecue areas are available on a first come, first served basis for groups of 50 or fewer.
Public restrooms are located near the Warming Hut at the west end of Crissy Field. Additional public restrooms are located just beyond the marsh at East Beach.
