The Institute is operated as a program of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy in partnership with the National Park Service. The Institute is managed by a team of Conservancy staff, with oversight by Conservancy managers and trustees.

About the Golden Gate National Parks—The Golden Gate National Parks stretch 70 miles north and south of the Golden Gate Bridge, creating a 80,400 acre greenbelt along the Pacific Ocean.
