Learn and Play
The Crissy Field Center is the multimedia hub for the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Our media lab allows visitors of all ages and park staff to interact with urban ecology in new ways and express what the environment means to them through digital photography, video production, and GIS technology. This section is devoted to videos, animations, games, and media treats produced for and by Crissy Field Center participants. To search our program calendar for media related programs and events, click here.
Learn About Your Local Community Heroes
Every year the Crissy Field Center celebrates San Francisco Bay environmental heroes. Groups and individuals are eligible for nominations and are honored at our annual Community Heroes Award Ceremony at the Center in May. This inspiring event is open to the public and presents an amazing opportunity to learn more about issues and solutions to local environmental problems. Their stories are featured on our website and displayed in a year-long exhibit at the Crissy Field Center.
