LINKING PEOPLE AND PARKS Trails are the critical connectors of the Golden Gate National Parks, linking park visitors to this spectacular greenbelt north and south of the Golden Gate. The myriad trails in these parks form an extensive network that allows millions of people to discover the natural world and deepen awareness of the grandeur and fragility of our park landscapes.
The Trails Forever initiative, launched in 2003, is renovating and expanding park trails to build a world-class trail system and protect natural areas. By dramatically improving the way people experience and explore these wondrous places, Trails Forever is making the Golden Gate National Parks more welcoming and sustainable, while inspiring our sense of stewardship. The Trails Forever initiative is sponsored by the Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust. You can support the parks with an online donation by clicking here.
