As the Vice President of Human Resources, Todd Blatt is responsible for all areas of policy, benefits, recruitment, payroll, and supervisor training for the Conservancy's 400 employees. In addition to human resources staff, he also oversees facilities and administration staff.
Prior to joining the Conservancy, Todd was the Director of Human Resources at the Edgewood Center for Children and Families for nearly 12 years. During that time, he served as a member of the executive team, developed numerous trainings for managers and directors, and oversaw a payroll systems conversion and the interfacing of systems for HR information and electronic medical records.
During his time at the Conservancy, Todd has been working to upgrade the organization’s systems, leveraging technology to increase efficiencies, including improving recruitment. He has also been tasked with leading efforts to make the Conservancy an even more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace for current and future staff.
Todd loves working with staff from across the Conservancy’s many departments. He is passionate that human resources can have a truly positive impact on an organization’s culture and works to ensure voices from across the organization are represented.
Todd grew up in the Bay Area and studied anthropology at San Francisco State University. He received his Professional of Human Resources certification in 2002, his SPHR in 2019, and has been a longstanding member of the Society of Human Resources Management and the Northern California Human resources Association.
In his spare time, Todd, a self-professed nerd and collector of The Great Courses series. He has played guitar since the age 5 and been in numerous bands. Todd also loves Disneyland, the San Francisco Giants, and his brother, who is, and always will be, his best friend.
