Join an incredible group of women as we work together to create a positive impact on the trail systems of our National Parks. Female leaders of the NPS Trail Crew and volunteers like you will be mitigating standing water on the trail by filling in low spots with drain rock, dirt, and shale.

Delicious snacks will be provided; please bring your lunch and reusable water bottle for a mid-program lunch break and raffle!

AGE, SKILLS, WHAT TO BRING:

  • Ages 12 and up; Volunteers under the age of 15 need parent/guardian supervision. Read our Youth Policy Guidelines (PDF).

  • Bring your completed Volunteer Agreement Form (PDF). Volunteers under the age of 18 must have the parent/guardian approval section signed.

  • Wear clothes that can get dirty. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. Bring layers for changing weather and rain gear if necessary.

  • Bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen.

  • No experience necessary. Training and tools will be provided. Fulfills community service requirements.

The Golden Gate National Parks Volunteer Program is a cooperative parkwide effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust.
