Bothin Marsh

Author Brendan Wenzel will be reading A Stone Sat Still at Bothin Marsh. Brendan Wenzel is a New York Times bestselling author and illustrator and a recipient of a Caldecott Honor. He is a proud collaborator with many groups working to protect and conserve wild places and creatures.  His book, A Stone Sat Still, is currently featured in the StoryWalk at Bothin Marsh located along the Mill Valley-Sausalito Multiuse Path.

A StoryWalk is a way for children of all ages and their families to explore the park and have a reading adventure at the same time. Like the stone in A Stone Sat Still, Bothin Marsh is many things. As readers learn more about the stone, there are also prompts to look, listen, and interact with Bothin Marsh — getting to know both more intimately as each face a changing home.

The StoryWalk at Bothin Marsh is about 1/2-mile-long and takes about ten minutes to walk without stopping. It starts on the Mill Valley-Sausalito Multiuse Path near Almonte Blvd and ends at the bridge across Coyote Creek. The StoryWalk will be installed from September through December 2019.

Meeting Location: Gather at the Sea Level Rise exhibit along the Mill Valley-Sausalito Path near the intersection of Almonte Blvd and Miller Ave (Google map). RSVPs are required for this event.
