Charity began her work in environmental and social justice education in college where she received degrees in Biology and Women’s Studies. From there she was a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic, was an AmeriCorps volunteer with San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and worked for other nonprofits. Charity began at the Crissy Field Center in 2001 as the Urban Ecology Specialist and has since become the Associate Director, Education where she focuses her efforts on staff and curriculum development for the Center.
