Pirates Cove, and its associated California Coastal Trail segment, offer stunning ocean views and secluded serenity.
In 2006, improvements along this Coastal Trail route enhanced public access to this special area year-round, particularly during the wet winter months.
In an effort to maintain continuous coastal scrub habitat, another key project action was controlling the highly invasive pampas grass that had colonized the cliff faces.
This project was made possible by a generous donation from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, Trails Forever, and the members of the Parks Conservancy. Our deep gratitude goes to all who help support work on the Coastal Trail.
