As Program Manager, Monica oversees and supports Park Stewardship’s three regional teams, each of which engage thousands of students and volunteers in meaningful and productive work. Monica also coordinates a summer internship program for local youth that provides young people with job experiences and opportunities for in-depth participation in the national parks. Monica has been involved in Bay Area, community-based restoration efforts for over 15 years. She earned a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Chicago, and a Master’s degree in Rangeland Management from UC Berkeley.
