Earth Stroll is back on April 21! Earth Stroll activities encourage children and families to take care of themselves--and the planet--by getting out and getting active in the breathtaking national park next door. Earth Stroll is produced by the Crissy Field Center (a partnership of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust) and the Presidio Community YMCA, with participation from over 15 local community and government organizations.
"Earth Stroll is a great way to celebrate Earth Day, enjoy your national park, and get healthy!" says Josh Gannis, associate director of community services for Crissy Field Center.
Earth Stroll provides many fun-filled activities for the whole family. From ranger-led hikes to live animal demonstrations, there is something for everyone! This year Pacific Leadership Institute will be hosting an obstacle course, aptly named Park Pursuit. This "Amazing Race"-style course will include physical and mental challenges with two routes--easy and hard--so it's fun for all ages. The goal of Park Pursuit is to test participant's physical ability and national park knowledge. We hope to see you April 21 from 10 am to 2 pm. It's the perfect chance to see what makes Crissy Field so special--and celebrate a healthy planet and a healthy you!
