Bones of Contention

Park Quiz: Bones of Contention

From Park E-ventures, November 2013

In honor of Halloween and the Day of the Dead, we’ve got a bone to pick with you. Put on your thinking (skull)cap and see how many of these skeletal remains you can identify—of animals found in the Golden Gate National Parks.

Ready? Let the skullduggery begin!

Fun, but if you do this again please make the photos enlargeable. Too small to see details in many cases even on a laptop screen. Half the ones I missed were because of that.

Hi mugwort, great idea about sharing this with students! This quiz will be available at this URL for the forseeable future, so teachers can feel free to use the quiz on Halloween (or any day for that matter!). Thanks for writing!

This would be a great addition to every school classroom on Halloween to get the little darlings to think about something other than candy. How can we save this quiz and make it available to teachers?

I was hoping to see a photo of the pelican skeleton, now resting on one of the Crissy Field dunes.

very fun. Would have been better if there was a quarter in every picture to show scale instead of just a few. (Or maybe there was and I missed it.)
