Many Ways to Love Tam, All in One Place

Many Ways to Love Tam, All in One Place

From Park E-ventures, December 2014

The Tamalpais Lands Collaborative—formed earlier in 2014 by the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, National Park Service, California State Parks, Marin Municipal Water District, and Marin County Parks—aims to reinvigorate community stewardship of Mt. Tamalpais.

A new web site, OneTam.org, is a major catalyst in that effort.

In one place, we’ve gathered the many ways to learn about and support this cherished mountain. At this recently launched web portal, you can:

  • Explore trails and embark on new adventures, thanks to a new downloadable map
  • Watch breathtaking and inspirational videos that capture Mt. Tam’s beauty
  • Learn about potential TLC projects that would restore habitat, revitalize watersheds, enhance visitor experiences, improve trail corridors, elevate educational programs, and more
  • Plan your next trip to Tam with our calendar, filled with guided hikes, volunteer opportunities, special events, and more
  • Donate and become one of the first members of our “Tam Team”—you’ll also receive an official trail map, a magnetic bumper sticker, and classic Michael Schwab-designed Mt. Tam poster

Take a few minutes to peruse OneTam.org, and then take a full day to perambulate the mountain!

We hope to see you at the Mt. Tam Day of Thanks on Nov. 22—a fun way to give back to Mt. Tamalpais.
