Bridging Redwood Creek
To allow for the creek to change courses naturally, a longer, aluminum pedestrian bridge has replaced the existing smaller from the parking lot to the Coastal Trail junction. The six sections of bridge arrived via CHP escort and were set in place with a large crane. This was an amazing feat and the Redwood Creek team deserves huge praise for persevering through permit issues, crazy storms, and a challenging project to see it through. This new 250-foot pedestrian bridge marks the successful completion of this multifaceted phase of the Redwood Creek Restoration project.
