Would you like to band raptors in the Marin Headlands, or count raptors on Hawk Hill with the GGRO? Join us at one of our volunteer recruitment meetings to get an overview of what volunteering entails. If you cannot attend, please call the office or email firstname.lastname@example.org to request a volunteer application packet and training schedule.
Volunteers must be able to commit to one regular, full field day every two weeks between mid-August through early December; all training is provided. Volunteer activities will take place in the Marin Headlands, though the recruitment meetings are in San Francisco. There is a mandatory training for new banders all day on Saturday, August 2.
All three meetings are the same. Please choose one to attend. Meetings will be held:
- Wednesday, April 23 from 7–9:30 pm >>
- Thursday, April 24 from 7–9:30 pm >>
- Saturday, April 26 from 10am–12:30 pm >>
(Click on a meeting to register to receive a reminder email a few days before the meetings.)
DIRECTIONS: These recruitment meetings will be held at the Golden Gate National Parks headquarters, Building 201 at UPPER Fort Mason, in San Francisco. At the stop sign, Building 201 is the large white building on the left with the green roof. Enter at the side door; look for a big GGRO sign.
