On the 20th Anniversary of the Presidio becoming a national park site, we will consider what it means to be a sustainable national park. What does sustainability really mean? Why couldn’t the Army sustain a base here in perpetuity? We may ask more questions than we answer on this level, two-mile walk around the heart of the Presidio, but we’ll sure have fun! Meet ranger James Osborne at the visitor center, 105 Montgomery St. at Lincoln.
