Teresa Ely
Former Senior Program Manager, Golden Gate Raptor Observatory

Teresa Ely was a GGRO Intern in 2008. She completed her Master’s degree in Biology at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, studying American Kestrel biology, before returning to GGRO as Banding Manager in 2016.

Hawkwatch Program Manager, Golden Gate Raptor Observatory

As GGRO's Hawkwatch Manager Step works with 200 community science hawkwatchers to collect migration data, with educators, biologist, and park visitors to inform the public, and with a dedicated team of radio telemetry volunteers to study the detailed movement of raptors passing through the GGNRA.

Betty has been involved in growing native plants for habitat restoration across the parks.

Claire Mooney, Project Coordinator for the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, has worked in the field of ecological restoration and design for 15 years.

San Francisco Community Program Manager

Alex has been working with volunteers in the Golden Gate National Parks for five years. His passion for native plant restoration, introducing people to nature, and telling elaborate stories makes for eventful Saturday afternoons at the San Francisco Park Stewardship drop-in programs.

Charity Maybury
Deputy Director, Crissy Field Center

Charity began her work in environmental and social justice education in college where she received degrees in Biology and Women’s Studies. From there she was a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic, was an AmeriCorps volunteer with San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and worked for other nonprofits.

Park Academy and Nursery Programs Administrator

Clara is a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Morris, with a BA in Biology and a minor focus in Art. She has worked for the Conservancy for 4 years. She currently serves two roles: as office administrator for the nurseries program and as coordinator of the Park Academy educational program.
