Please note: the location for this event has been changed from Rancho Corral de Tierra to the Presidio Nursery in San Francisco. The shuttle departure time has also been updated to leaving from the Castro Theatre at 11:30 am.

Where: Meet at the Castro Theatre for the shuttle, activities take place at Rancho Corral de Tierra the Presidio Nursery; 

Note: If taking the shuttle from Castro Theatre, please make sure to show up early, as the shuttle will leave promptly at 11:30 am. Please email Christian Trujillo at ctrujillo@parksconservancy.org for additional driving & parking instructions if you do not need a ride via the shuttle. Registration is required.

Join us for a transformative and restorative day in our nursery in the Presidio! The day will involve a guided meditation, nursery tour/volunteer activities, art, and enjoying snacks/tea with community indoors on a rainy day. This event offers a unique opportunity for queer and trans individuals to connect with nature, reflect, learn, and build community in a supportive, inclusive space. Bus departs from the Castro Theatre for the Presidio Nursery at 11:30 am and will drop you back off at the same location at 5pm. Space is limited, so make sure to register early.

Groups

Groups of five or more require special arrangements and must be confirmed in advance. Please review the List of Available Projects and fill out the Group Project Request Form.

AGE, SKILLS, WHAT TO BRING:

• Volunteers of all ages are welcome.
• We'll be working rain or shine. Wear clothes that can get dirty. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. Bring layers for changing weather and rain gear if necessary.
• Bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen.
• No experience necessary. Training and tools will be provided. Fulfills community service requirements.

COVID-specific Guidelines

• Face coverings and social distancing are encouraged, but not required.
• Stay home and DO NOT attend if you:
  • Have any illness symptoms
  • Have tested positive for COVID-19
  • Suspect you have had contact with a COVID-19 positive case
