Public Dashboard Tracks Center’s Energy Use

Project FROG, the designers of the Crissy Field Center and Beach Hut Café, created an online dashboard that provides information on not only the output of our wind turbines and solar panels, but also the building’s energy consumption. The site, http://frogdashboard.com/crissy, shows the kW production of our renewable energy sources, how much rainwater we’ve used, and even the current temperature inside the building!

Loisos + Ubbelohde helped with modeling and the beautiful interface of the dashboard, while the overall suite of green technologies at use in the Center was made possible through the support of the Ayrshire Foundation, Bothin Foundation, Hawaii Natural Energy Institute, and Unilever. Many thanks for making the Center a living, breathing example of sustainability in action—for young students, and for the community!
