Dias Ridge Trail

A great hike for a morning that starts off steep and rewards the hiker with an easy wander back to a lovely lunch at The Pelican Inn, meanwhile taking in the incredible views of Muir Beach and the ocean.

A long-time favorite destination for recreation users, Dias Ridge is named after one of the Portuguese dairy ranchers who once owned swaths of the West Marin hills. The ridgeline above Muir Beach offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and Marin Headlands.

Hike up and back as much of the 3.1-mile Dias Ridge Trail from Muir Beach as you would like to enjoy the great vistas.

The Dias Ridge Trail can be combined with the Miwok and Coastal or Redwood Creek Trails that loop back to Muir Beach.
