Stinson Beach

Some national park sites within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area may close due to PG&E’s Public Safety Power Shutoff from October 26-30, 2019. Volunteer programs run by the National Park Service (NPS) and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy in the Marin Headlands were canceled through Wednesday, October 30. Check our events calendar for the latest updates on cancellations.

Park closures enable us to evaluate safety before reopening, as well as to keep roads clear for emergency services. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these challenging conditions together.

As our community grapples with unprecedented combination of fires, air quality, power shutoffs and wind events, we also want to extend a special thanks to our first responders.  We are grateful to your heroic efforts.
