Great blue heron
Jessica Weinberg-McClosky/Parks Conservancy
Join a Ranger to explore birdlife around Rodeo Lagoon and on Rodeo Beach. The varied landscape surrounding Rodeo Lagoon makes for a great diversity of songbirds, shorebirds, seabirds, and raptors. We will explore the ways in which the lagoon ecosystem supports birds and discuss the value of birds in our lives.
This program involves walking 1.5 miles of mostly flat trail on dirt and sand. Anyone interested in seeing birds is welcome! No experience birdwatching is necessary. We will meet at 9:00 AM at the Marin Headlands Visitor Center parking lot. Bring binoculars, warm layers, and decent shoes. The walk is limited to 15 participants.
Reservations required; please call (415) 331-1540.
