People, Plants, and Birds: We are all connected

Scenic landscape view of Fort Cronkhite, Rodeo Beach, and the Marin Headlands.
Fort Cronkhite in Rodeo Valley.

Alison Taggart-Barone / National Park Service

Join us as we enjoy the beauty of birds and plants at Rodeo Lagoon in the Marin Headlands! This beginner-friendly trip will include an interactive experience about birds and native plants at our mobile park pop-up, the Roving Ranger; a guided bird observation walk; and a habitat restoration activity at the beach.

Learn about the connection between native plants and bird habitat and what you can do to help our avian friends prosper. This field trip shows an example of how we bring parks to the people, combining community engagement and stewardship as we focus on nature observation skills, encourage curiosity, and promote knowledge sharing among participants.

Please bring layers, sunscreen, and water with you. We look forward to discovering and exploring with you!
