2018 Re-Release of Coho Salmon at Muir Beach

With an exuberant splash and careful handling from trained professionals and volunteers, a new cohort (more than 100 fish) of federally endangered adult coho salmon were re-released into Redwood Creek at Muir Beach on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. This outing marked the third and final reintroduction of the species to the important watershed after two re-releases of adult coho in 2016 and 2017. Each fish represents the hope that, one day, there will be a self-sustaining population of the species. #Parks4All
