The Golden Gate Bridge from Fort Baker

Urban, rural, beach, forest: Spanning three counties and over 82,000 acres, there is so much to do and see in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Every year, more than 15 million visitors enter the parks and see for themselves all that the national parks have to offer north and south of the Golden Gate Bridge. This year, we get to celebrate 50 years of the GGNRA and we want you to join us in the parks to help us celebrate!

One of the best parts of our Bay Area national parks? They offer more than enough space to enjoy your favorite outdoor activities with your favorite people.

Is there a park you love to visit and a friend or family member you want to enjoy it with? Head over to Instagram and let us know in the comments on our post. All comments will be entered into our 50th anniversary giveaway for a chance to win two coffee mugs, two 50th anniversary pins, and two memberships so you can enjoy the parks together. You can use your membership for discounts at spots like the Warming Hut on Crissy Field, where the "Crissy Mocha" is a hit! What better way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the GGNRA than with a warm beverage, a view of the Golden Gate Bridge, and somebody to share it with? Good luck!
