Join us at Crissy Field Center in the Presidio for a family-friendly Día de los Muertos & Diwali event in the park. Celebrated annually in the fall season, these two distinct cultural observances come together in a national park to honor South Asian and Latinx traditions. Designed intentionally as a celebration and a learning opportunity, attendees are invited to participate in a wide range of activities that include arts and crafts, storytelling, cultural dance, song, and a fire ceremony, and learn about social and environmental justice issues in both cultures.
There is also a Planting as Remembrance stewardship activity happening from 10:30-12:30pm. Spots are limited, so register here in advance.
All are welcome to join the larger celebration of Diwali and Dia de los Muertos happening at Crissy Field Center from 10 am-3 pm.
