For Members: Maritime History Tour at Hyde St Pier

Join us for a behind the scenes exploration of the historic ships of Hyde Street Pier. We'll board the sailing schooner C.A. Thayer and visit the engine room of the ferryboat Eureka. Built in the 1890s, these ships provided San Francisco with connection throughout the bay and up and down the U.S. western seaboard. Follow in the footsteps of the ships’ crews as we explore on deck and down below and learn why these ships existed and what made them tick. Plan on climbing up and down narrow ships’ ladders, and through spaces with low headroom.
