Join the American Indian Cultural District and the Parks Conservancy for a special program focused around saving native plant seeds to increase native plant habitat in our parks and neighborhoods. We will start the day sharing lunch together in the gardens and will be joined by staff from the Presidio Native Plant Nursery to learn and practice seed saving techniques. Relish in the abundance of nature and community—the medicine we need during these times. Each participant will leave with a packet of native wildflower seeds collected outside of the national park. Please let us know if you have dietary restrictions or mobility support needs and we will do our best to accommodate.

For the last 4 years, this partnership has been guided by intertribal elders and families affiliated with the American Indian Cultural District to build accessible, culturally relevant programming in the GGNRA. It is thanks to their feedback and contributions that we have this special program series. Community members of all backgrounds are welcome to register and attend.
