This year, in 2012-13, the Institute and Cavallo Point Lodge will welcome groups like the Trust for Public Land, Environmental Defense Fund, Public Health Law and Policy, and the Marine Mammal Center through its special Institute group rate.

In November, Future 500 will host its Stakeholder Engagement Workshop, focusing on sound approaches to solving sustainability issues through corporate and NGO collaboration. The event will bring together senior executives from top consumer, energy, and technology companies to enable them to promote common ground with stakeholder advocates across a range of pressing environmental and social issues in the next two years. Another leading organization in this area, U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution, will return in December with a new two-day training workshop on how technology can be used to address environmental issues. The Collaboration Technology in Environmental Collaboration and Conflict Resolution Workshop is open to anyone looking to integrate Web 2.0 tools into their stakeholder engagement strategies.

In January, Tides Foundation and RSF Social Finance will join forces to present Play BIG 2013, a gathering on impact investing to inspire those with large capital reserves to drive social and environmental change. And for the second consecutive year, Civic Ventures will bring 200 change makers in their “encore careers” together for their Encore 2013 conference and Purpose Prize ceremony. Watch this video to learn more about Civic Ventures’ movement to support people ready to blend purpose, passion, and a paycheck in their “second act” of life.

The Institute is honored to welcome meaningful events such as these to the Golden Gate National Parks and invites you to be one of the over 150 groups who have utilized this incredible resource. If you have an upcoming event between November and April focused on environmental issues, please contact us at info@instituteatgoldengate.org to learn more about the special Institute group rate at Cavallo Point Lodge.
