Alcatraz Gardens Docent Program

Alcatraz Historic Gardens welcomes volunteers of all levels of experience to lead walking garden tours and/or welcome garden visitors into the gardens. Training is offered year-round with an experienced docent providing constructive feedback to lead successful tours. We ask volunteers to commit to one three-hour shift once a month for at least one year. Our tours combine San Francisco and Alcatraz history with horticulture! Come join our team in an unique setting!
