Michael Carr is the Chief Operations Officer at the Parks Conservancy. In this role, he provides oversight for crucial operational areas, including Technology, Facilities, Employee Safety, and Legal Affairs.

He brings a wealth of experience, including three years as a consultant to prestigious organizations such as the Willie Brown Historical Black Colleges, and the Andrew Young HBCU Scholarship Program.

Michael’s professional journey includes a pivotal role as the Director of Strategic Programs at San Francisco International Airport, and earlier, as the Director of the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD), where he served two San Francisco mayors.

Michael started his career at Delta Air Lines, serving as a regional manager responsible for overseeing airport fueling and service operations across 45 locations in the Western US and Asia. Later, he was recruited by BP Energy Company, where he worked on aviation, chemical, and retail business operations in three major US cities. Additionally, he was based in London, managing airport fuel facilities, operations, and government relationships in nine countries across central and eastern Europe. Michael holds a bachelor's degree in economics and marketing from Augusta State University in Georgia.
